Like Knitting With Toothpicks

I have NEVER knitted with something so small in my life, and these are only 3's!  They get SMALLER, people!  All the way to 0!

I always said I would never knit socks. No one ever sees them, so I figured, what the heck is the point?

A customer wanted to learn how to make a short-row heel of a sock, so I taught her. And in the process, became addicted.

I have no idea what it is about it; maybe the yarn is so delicate and small and tedious and detailed and lovely. Maybe it's that I can take it with my anywhere cuz it is such a small project. Or maybe cuz it is such an easy fit.

Here is me sneaking a pic of my sock work from bed. At like 12:30 in the morning. *nerd*.

But, I better learn it for all the sock yarn I am planning to carry in the shop.  Stay tuned for yarn updates!

  1. I won't knit socks because I hate to wear socks but I did buy some sock yarn to make a pair as a gift so it's on my ever growing list of projects.

  2. And then there are the crazy people, like Althea Crome, who use needles as small as 11/0; that's US#00000000000 people! (See her lunacy at http://www.bugknits.com/ )
